The roof has been fitted into place prior to insulating its inside surface and installing the lift-off mechanism.  The shaft crossing the length of the roof base will be attached to the north side cantilever arm outside the observatory  walls.  The observatory is only roughed in at this point.  From the view out the window you can see how the horizon can be observed from over the tree tops.
