Pier rebar support in second floor raceway.

A portion of the observatory control room is present in the foreground. An L-shaped workstation desk will be against the wall at the right and wrap around the wall the photographer is standing against. Two wire raceways will extend into the observatory from this control room and will handle all the cables. One of them will be at the back of a closet that is to the right of the pier raceway. The other will be in between the studs of the wall to the right. If you look carefully you can see a channel cut out of the horizontal 2x4's at the top of this wall in the 2nd stud interspace from the corner of the room at the pictures center. The cables will run from the interspace between the observatory floors and exit into the control room near the floor at the back of the workstation. Two cable conduits allow seperation of signal lines from A/C lines. The conduits will be shielded with steel sheet and grounded to minimize any interference from the array of electronics present in the room.
