Top of cement pier form in the observatory.

Looking down into the 2 foot diameter tubular cement form shoes the internal rebar structure. The rebar is somewhat free to move here but will be centered in the form as it is filled with concrete. Some of the form bracing can be seen around the perimeter of the tube. The longest form available was 24 feet so a short extension piece was aligned end to end with the main tube to achieve the full length needed. The seam where the two tubes meet can be seen encircling the inner diameter of the form several feet from the top.
