The observatory stair leads into a "hallway" in the attic on the east side of the observatory. The attic "hallway" is the triangular space between roof trusses which gives convenient access to the observatory. There will be a door at the top of the access stair and another at the west end of the short "hallway" to enter the observatory space. The doors will be insulated and sealed to prevent air currents.
