New construction progress viewed from the north.

The front deck footings have been poured and once the deck and deck roof are in place the siding will go on. The crane is replacing the observatory roof which was removed to gain access for pouring the cement telescope pier. The lift-off roof got a first coat of paint while it was temporarily on the ground. The ends of one of the shafts for the motorized lifting mechanism can just be seen at the near lower edge of the roof.
