Progress has been made on the house renovation. The windows are in and the view of the lake through the large new windows is a huge improvement from the original house. The lift-off observatory roof is in place. You can just make out the ends of one of the shafts for the lift-off mechanism at the near lower edge of the white roof. A similar shaft is in place on the northern side of the roof as well.

The lift-off roof will be painted and its lower portion will be sided to improve its visual integration with the rest of the structure.
