New construction progress as of 11/27/02.
The lake side exterior is essentially completed. Only details remain. The exterior of the observatory is done. The east side, powered stainless steel cantilever arm for the lift-off roof mechanism can be seen. The observatory roof will lift up, over and down to come to rest on the far side downward slope of the roof when it is opened.
