New construction progress as of 11/27/02.

The north side exterior is nearly completed.  Only the deck and some details remain to be done.  The exterior of the observatory is done.  The stainless steel cantilever arms that support the lift-off roof are in place.  The near side metal frame is a passive follower.  The far side arm that is only partially visible is powered and provides the lifting force.  The roof will lift up, forward and down to come to rest on the downward slope of the roof when it is opened.
