Observatory interior view.

This view is facing west.  The inside of the lift-off roof has been coated with sprayed-on foam insulation and the observatory walls are finished in cedar.  To the right of the  window there is a corner mounted heater and air conditioning unit.  The cardboard box contains a rack mount unit that will be mounted against the wall there under the overhang.  The rack will contain a number of electronic units and will be serve as a central wiring hub.

On the far wall is part of the chain and gear mechanism for raising the roof.  The east side has an identical gear and chain.  The chain goes to a wall mounted shaft that is turned by the motor.  The shaft on the large gear goes through the wall and is attached to the powered arm outside.  The shaft to the right at the roof base connects to the other  passive cantilever arm outside.
