Arrakis Observatory network closet.

The observatory and house DSL, firewall, central switch and a wireless access point are installed in a "network closet" under a stairway.  Video switchers, distribution amplifiers and a power supply are on the top shelf.  To the right is the RF and telco distribution panel.  At the bottom right are controllers for the video doorbell, video security displays, alarm system and event notification.  The system monitors for entry, smoke, high and low temp, water leak, power loss and gas leak and notifies the appropriate parties.  All events are recorded digitally.  All critical systems are protected with a central surge suppressor, battery backup and dedicated AC runs.
